Reception, Switchboard & Telephone Technique COURSE INTRODUCTION:- Our Reception, Telephone & Switchboard Technique course is designed to teach students the importance of a Receptionist within a business organisation. How to deal with difficult and irate customers, handling numerous calls at one time, dealing with visitors and the correct telephone manners needed to succeed in this highly demanding role. OF INTEREST TO:- Students looking to start a career as a Receptionist. COURSE AIM: To allow the user to understand the importance of a Receptionist and the duties needed to be performed to make them a successful part of a Business Organisation. COURSE CONTENT: MODULE 1 - RECEPTION Lesson 1:- How important is the Receptionist. Lesson 2:- Qualities of an efficient Receptionist. Lesson 3:- Dealing with people, sources of information. Lesson 4:- Dealing with visitors, the Reception area. Lesson 5:- Security, dealing with difficult situations. MODULE 2 - SWITCHBOARD Lesson 6:- Types of apparatus, handling and care of apparatus and dealing with numerous lines, telephone services offered by Telecom. MODULE 3 - TELEPHONE Lesson 7:- Telephone communication. Lesson 8:- Telephone technique. Lesson 9:- Professional telephone manners, taking messages. COURSE NOTES:- Course material is provided as an ongoing reference. Participants who successfully complete the course and achieve a 75% or higher mark will receive a certificate
