DreamWeaver MX

COURSE INTRODUCTION:-

The DreamWeaver MX Basic Concepts course introduces the DreamWeaver MX application and covers the basic aspects of Web site development.

During the development process, the importance of continual testing and previewing of Web pages is reinforced.

To organize the content on their Web pages, students learn to work with lists and HTML tables.  To give their Web site a coherent, consistent look, they learn to work with Cascading Style Sheets.

Once the Web site is complete, students publish it to a remote server (located on a network drive) using FTP (File Transfer Protocol).  Finally, they explore the use of various site management tools, including templates and libraries.

This course consists of six lessons, a lab, and a final exam.  As the student works through the lessons in this course, they are given ample opportunity to practice, apply, and develop their Web development skills.  A practice exercise and questions are included at the end of each lesson to reinforce the concepts covered and to help students measure their progress.

Students become familiar with the DreamWeaver MX interface, and the planning/design stage of Web site creation.  Then they develop a simple Web site, creating HTML documents that incorporate text, graphics, and links.
