    Assessments

    Exams

All assessments are based on the “Course Content” lessons of each course or program and are conducted as “Closed Book”. Each paper has a pre-exam and a final exam.  Exam time is usually 2 to 2.5  hours and is included in the approximate study times quoted in the price list.  Your study plan will allow you sufficient time to study and revise for exams.

    Pre-Exams

When you have completed all the activities in the workbook and pending the Facilitator’s satisfaction with your skill level, you can undertake your pre exam.  This will be conducted under normal exam conditions and requires the same pass rate that applies to final exams.  The exam paper will be returned to you after it has been marked so that you can assess it and carry out further revision as required.  This work does not form part of your final exam.

    Final Exams

At the successful completion of the allocated study time and pre exam you will be required to sit the final exam.  Final exams require a 75% pass rate except for Audio Dictaphone, Bookkeeping and Computerised Accounting exams which require an 80% pass rate.

    Re-Sub Exams

In the event that you fail your pre and/or final exam you will be given the opportunity to re-sit the exam in accordance with the re-sub policy.  Your Final and Resit marks will be averaged to give a final result.

    Re-Counts

If you are not satisfied with the result of your exams you may apply to the Directors for a re-count in accordance with the re-count policy.
