Adobe Illustrator 10 - Basic Concepts COURSE INTRODUCTION:- In the Adobe Illustrator 10 Basic Concepts course, students learn how to effectively use many of the tools and techniques available within Adobe Illustrator 10 to create vector graphics for print and for the Web. As the student progresses through the course, they become familiar with the Illustrator 10 interface, and learn to create shapes, lines, and arcs, modify shapes, apply colour and gradient fills to shapes, and create type. |

This course consists of five lessons, a lab, and a final exam. As the student works through the lessons in this course, they are given ample opportunity to practice, apply, and develop their graphic development skills. A practice exercise and questions are included at the end of each lesson to reinforce the concepts covered and to help students measure their progress. OF INTEREST TO :- Aspiring graphics developers who want to learn the basics of graphics development using Adobe Illustrator 10. COURSE AIM:- To provide an introduction to Adobe Illustrator, present the basic concepts behind vector graphics, and provide the theoretical information and practical techniques to create compelling graphical content for print and for the Web. COURSE CONTENT:- Lesson 1: Introduction to Illustrator; The Illustrator 10 Interface; Setting Preferences Lesson 2: Creating Objects; Selecting, Moving, Copying, and Deleting Objects Lesson 3: Reshaping Objects; Transforming Objects; Creating Compound Shapes Lesson 4: Adding Colour; Applying, Creating, and Modifying Gradient Fills Lesson 5: Type; Applying Effects to Objects Lab Exercise COURSE NOTES:- A course manual is provided as an ongoing reference. A certificate is issued upon the student’s completion of the course and on attaining a pass mark of 75% or higher for the final assessment. PREREQUISITES. To ensure successful completion of this course, it is advised that students first complete an introductory Windows course
